Abstract

The study aimed to reveal the impact of using cognitive mental processes to improve the skill of oral expression among sixth-grade female students in Jordan. The semi-experimental design was used for two experimental and control groups. The study members were selected in an accessible way from the Yarmouk University Model School, affiliated with Yarmouk University. The number of study members was (30) female students, where (15) female students in the experimental group studied using the skills of cognitive mental processes, and (15) female students studied in the usual way. To realize the objectives of the study, a multiple-choice achievement test was prepared, the test consisted of (25) paragraphs, and an observation card consisted of (17) paragraphs. After verifying the validity and stability of the two tools, they were applied to the two groups: experimental and control before and after the study. This study found that there are statistically significant differences due to the impact of teaching cognitive mental processes for improving the skill of oral expression
