Abstract

The study aimed to examine the relationship between family environment, family self-esteem, and psychopathic personality disorder among divorced women in Jordanian society. The study adopted the descriptive correlational approach, and the sample consisted of (918) divorced women. The results indicated that the levels of family environment and family self-esteem were moderate, while the level of psychopathic personality traits was high. The findings revealed statistically significant differences in family environment according to divorce duration, age, and divorce type, whereas differences in family self-esteem were found only according to age. Additionally, significant differences were found in psychopathic personality traits based on divorce duration, age, and divorce type. The results also showed a positive correlation between family environment and family self-esteem, and a negative correlation between family environment and psychopathic personality traits, except for the conflict dimension.
