Abstract
This study aimed to identify the degree of availability of occupational health and safety standards in vocational education workshops in schools of Mafraq Governorate from the perspectives of teachers and supervisors. The researcher adopted a descriptive approach and developed the study instruments: a 27-item questionnaire and a two-question interview, whose validity and reliability were ensured. The questionnaire was administered to a stratified random sample of 120 vocational education teachers, while interviews were conducted with 7 vocational education supervisors. The results indicated a high level of availability of occupational health and safety standards in vocational workshops from teachers’ perspectives. No statistically significant differences were found due to gender, educational qualification, or years of experience. Similarly, supervisors reported a high level of availability, with 85% confirming the presence of these standards in vocational workshops. The study recommended enhancing teachers’ competencies through intensive specialized training in occupational health and safety.
