Abstract
The aim of this study was to identify the practicing degree of authentic leadership among school principals in Irbid Governorate from the teachers’ point of view, a descriptive approach was used, and A questionnaire was used as a tool for collecting the necessary data to achieve the study objectives, It consisted of (38) items, distributed across four domains: Promoting self-awareness, adopting ethical concepts in dealing with teachers, using balance in addressing situations, and embedding the concept of transparency in teacher relationshipsأعلى النموذج. The study sample consisted of (394) male and female teachers, they were selected by the simple random method. The results of the study showed that the degree of practicing authentic leadership among school principals in Irbid Governorate was high, and there were statistically significant differences at the level of statistical significance (α≤0.05) between the averages of teachers’ estimates of the degree to which their principals practiced authentic leadership due to the school type variable in favor of public schools, also, the results didnt show statistically significant differences between the averages of teachers’ estimates of the degree to which their principals practiced authentic leadership due to the variables academic qualification, educational stage, and number of years of service. One of the most important recommendations was: emphasizing the importance of training school principals in authentic leadership style, in order to maintain the high degree shown by the results, and because of its positive effects on the quality of the students’ learning process.
