Abstract
The current study aimed to discover the relationship between Ego identity and Subjective well-being Definition among recovering drug addicts in Jordan. A descriptive correlational approach was employed, utilizing the Ego Identity Scale and the Subjective Well-Being Scale, which were developed by the researcher. These instroments were administered to a sample of 209 recovering drug addicts. The findings revealed that the levels of both ego identity and subjective well-being among the participants were moderate. Additionally, the results indicated a positive correlation between identity achievement and subjective well-being, as well as a negative correlation between identity foreclosure, identity attachment, identity diffusion, and subjective well-being. Based on these findings, the research emphasized the importance of encouraging recovering addicts to remain engaged in programs provided by addiction treatment centers, aiming to enhance their identity achievement and subjective well-being
