Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • The text is double-spaced; uses a 12-point font; all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

 

First: The materials accepted for publication

  1. The International Journal of Psychological and Educational Research publishes original scientific research in the fields of psychology and education, and the research can be written in Arabic or English, and has never been published before, and will not be sent for publication to any other journal.
  2. International Psychological and Educational Research publishes case studies, conference reports, and book reviews
  3. The International Psychological and Educational Research Institute publishes distinctive psychological and educational innovations and experiences.

 

Second: publication standards

  1. The researcher submits the publication request through the website after registering on the website, and the publication form is filled out.
  2. All research is subject to preliminary arbitration by the editorial board to judge the availability of scientific research conditions and steps that are universally recognized, and their consistency with the topics and specialization of the journal.
  3. Research that pass the initial evaluation are subject to arbitration by at least two arbitrators within the field of research submitted and with research experience and distinguished scientific standing, and in case of conflict, it is sent to a third arbitrator.
  4. The quotation percentage must be taken into account, so that it does not exceed 20%.
  5. The acceptance rate for publishing the research is two months.
  6. No fees are required for submission or publishing.

Third: Rules for submitting research

  1. The first page of the research must include the name of the researcher or researchers, in addition to the work title, academic rank - if any -, e-mail, and phone number. The researcher must not mention his name, the names of the researchers in the research, or any references that reveal their personalities.
  2. He uploads the research and all its attachments on the website designated for publication, and provides the researcher with a letter stating that the journal has received the research, and the research number within two working days from its date.
  3. The researcher submits a form in which he pledges that the research has not been previously published, and has not been submitted for publication to other parties, and will also not be submitted for publication to another party until the completion of the arbitration procedures, and the researcher agrees to transfer the copyright and authorship to the journal after it is approved for publication in its final form.
  4. Two abstracts of the research must be submitted in English and Arabic with a maximum of (150) words to each. Each abstract should be on a separate page and provided that each abstract contains the title of the research, names of authors, affiliations, and keywords in both Arabic and English.
  5. The researcher must translate the Arabic references into English (Romanization) and place the translated references among the foreign references.
  6. The research should be written in a sound language and printed in Microsoft Word in Traditional Arabic font size 14 for research in Arabic, and in Times New Roman font size 12 for research in English. With line spacing (1.5) and margins (2.5 cm) on the top, bottom, and sides of the page.
  7. The research tools used in the data collection process could be submitted with the research and the authors are required to do so if asked by the journal.
  8. The research is supposed to include the following elements: Introduction to research and theoretical framework (including previous studies) - Research problem - Study questions - Importance of research - Research limitations – definitions of variables - Research methodology - population and sample - Research tools - Validity and reliability of tools - Statistical methods - Presentation of results - Discussion of results – Recommendations .
  9. The references and sources are documented, both within the research and in the bibliography, according to the APA7 system (American Psychological Association 7 th edition).

 Fourth: The rights of the journal

  1. The editorial board of the International Journal of Psychological and Educational Research has the right to pre-examine the research and decide whether to send it to arbitration or not.
  2. If an rejection is made for accepting the research, the International Journal of Psychological and Educational Research is not obligated to explain its reasons, nor is it obligated to send arbitration reports in the light of which the research has been rejected.
  3. The research is considered withdrawn if the researcher delays making the required amendments for a period exceeding two months from the date of receiving the arbitration reports from the journal, and journal can demand payment of arbitration fees; Unless there is a compelling excuse accepted by the journal's editorial board.
  4. Research accepted for publication is published after taking into account the date of its acceptance in the journal, where priority in publishing research is given to the accepted research first.
  5. It is not permissible to publish the research in another journal after approving its publication in the International Journal of Psychological and Educational Research.
  6. The scientific journal has the right to republish research - whether in paper or electronically - that it has previously published, without the need for the researcher's permission, and it has the right to allow others to include its research in various databases, whether they are paid or not.
  7. research papers express the views of the authors and not the Journal policy.  
  8. When the research is accepted for publication, the ownership of the publication is transferred from the author to the Journal, and the realization of the publication becomes reserved for the publisher.

Fifth: The researcher's responsibility and rights

  1. Informing the researcher when receiving his research through the designated system on the website of the International Journal of Psychological and Educational Research and providing him with a research number.
  2. Informing the researcher of the decision of the initial examination from the editorial board in the International Journal of Psychological and Educational Research, after verifying the eligibility of the research to be sent for arbitration.
  3. Informing the researcher of the outcome of the arbitration by providing him with the arbitrators’ reports if the research is accepted, or apologizing for publishing the research if the research did not pass the arbitration stage, within a month of the International Journal of Psychological and Educational Research receiving the arbitrators’ report.
  4. The researcher is given an electronic copy of the paper published in the International Journal of Psychological and Educational Research.
  5. The researcher is given a (publishing acceptance letter) after submitting the final form, taking the required notes of the arbitrators, writing a detailed report on the modifications made and the justifications for not making some modifications, and its approval by the editorial board of the International Journal of Psychological and Educational Research.
  6. The researcher is not allowed to withdraw his research after the International Journal of Psychological and Educational Research has sent the research for arbitration. If he wishes to withdraw the research at the arbitration stage, he must pay the arbitration and processing costs.
  7. The researcher shall abide by the standards and guidelines for submitting research specified by the International Journal of Psychological and Educational Research, and shall abide by the principles and standards of scientific publishing ethics approved in the journal.
  8. The researcher is obligated to observe the requirements of scientific honesty, and to respect intellectual property rights.
  9. In case of submitting joint research, the researcher is obligated to indicate the order of the researchers in writing.
  10. The researcher is obligated not to submit research that has been published in whole or in part in any form or any language. He is also obligated not to submit the research to any other party while it is being considered by the International Journal of Psychological and Educational Research. If it is accepted for publication, the researcher is obligated to never publish it again.
  11. The researcher undertakes to make the amendments stipulated in the arbitrators' reports, and to justify not making some amendments.
  12. The researcher sends the research in its final form after making the amendments within two weeks from the date of the request to make the amendments, through the researcher's electronic page on the website of the International Journal of Psychological and Educational Research.
  13. The researcher is obligated to disclose any conflict of interest that may arise from the research, and he must disclose the source of financial support for his research, if any.
  14. Research submitted for publication or published expresses the opinions of its authors, and the authors only are responsible for the correctness and accuracy of the information and conclusions.
  15. If the researcher discovers a fundamental error in his research submitted or published, and must inform the editor-in-chief to delete or correct the error.

Sixth: Open Access

This is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.
